RV kitchen accessories are all those that fit nicely into small spaces and offer excellent camper organization in the RV kitchen. As a full on traveling RV family of six, we have learned many things about what really need in an RV kitchen to make our lives better on the road. It is not only important to have refrigerator power and freezer space, but it is also essential to have adequate refrigerator size for six people. Most of us do not realize that the size of our refrigerators is just as important to our well being as having adequate counter space. Many of us do not think about that when we plan an RV vacation, but we should.
Refrigerator size and sturdiness are two great ways to avoid having to replace appliances when they are not working properly. One handy kitchen accessories that we have found to be invaluable is an instant pot. Not only does it keep our coffee pot warm (which would be pretty boring), it also has a strainer built in so that it can be used to extract most of the steam from the coffee beans. An instant pot is a great way to utilize every square inch of counter space in the RV kitchen and still keep our foods cool and away from germs.
Our family has used numerous appliances and gadgets that have come in handy over the years, but none has been a favorite like an electric coffee grinder. It allows us to create wonderful specialty drinks without the use of a coffee machine, which is a real time saver and helps prevent the loss of espresso through the grinding process. Another one of our RV kitchen accessories is a great new microwave oven that can be placed right in our cozy RV kitchen. We are always looking for new gadgets that help make life easier, and an easy to use microwave is definitely worth its weight in gold!
When shopping for an item such as an electric coffee grinder, it is imperative that you get one that will fit your brand’s specifications. While some brands may fit into some other brands, it never hurts to double check, just to be sure. Many of the bigger name manufacturers such as Kenmore, Lefroy and Bosch offer various pots, pans, cookie sheets and other kitchen accessories at discount prices when purchasing them together. This is an especially good idea if buying several kitchen accessories at once is a necessity.
One of our RV kitchen accessories that is actually a necessity is a set of dishwashers that doubles as a dish rack. We have found that purchasing the separate dishes for the sink and counter is much more economical than buying a large collection of small dishwashers. If purchasing separate dishes for the sink and counter, be sure to have extra drying racks and tension rods on hand. A good rule of thumb is to always have one dishwasher’s handle filled up with enough dishes to fill up both dishwashers. Many RV owners like to have two tension rods on hand for extra dishes.
There are also some fun kitchen gadgets you can buy for camping purposes such as a portable food processor. The best part about these little kitchen accessories is that they help save space and they keep camp meals low in cost. In addition, they allow campers to prepare foods such as eggs, bacon and rice without having to bring a grill or cook them over the open fire. These kitchen accessories also come in handy for whipping up gourmet meals that can be cooked at home while on the road.
